Everything on this page is approved for publication. Copy the descriptions verbatim, download the logos, quote the boilerplate. You do not need to ask, and you do not need to send us a draft.
What we would appreciate: get the product name right, and do not edit the recovery claims into something stronger than they are. GitAegis does not promise guaranteed recovery, and a headline that says it does is a headline we will write in asking you to correct.

Approved product descriptions
Use these as written. If you need a different length, cut from the longer one rather than paraphrasing. The wording is load-bearing in a few places, particularly the word “refuses”.

GitAegis is a native desktop Git client for macOS, built by Fahid Digital Ventures LLC around a single property: recovery. Before any risky operation runs, it captures a recovery capsule covering refs, index, staged changes, working changes, untracked files, and operation state, and if that capsule cannot be taken, the operation is refused. A Flight Recorder timeline records what happens to a repository, including changes GitAegis did not cause. Lost Work finds commits nothing points at any more. It runs your installed Git, never bundles or downloads one, and never runs git gc, git prune, or git reflog expire. One lineFor a directory listing or a chyron.

Headcount, funding, revenue, customer numbers and download figures are not published. Neither are the founding year, the registered address or the company registration number. They are not settled in a form we are willing to print. We do not publish numbers we cannot evidence, so please do not source them elsewhere and attribute them to us. If a figure matters to your piece, ask and we will tell you whether we can confirm it.
Product name usage
The name is GitAegis. One word, capital G, capital A, everything else lower case.

Pronunciation: git-EE-jis. An aegis is a shield; the name is the product’s claim.
In running text:GitAegis takes no article. Write “GitAegis captures a capsule”, not “the GitAegis captures a capsule”.
Edition name, where it matters: the free build is the GitAegis for macOS. Use the full name only where the distinction is the point: reporting that it links no HTTP client, for instance. Otherwise “the free edition” is fine.
Company name in full on first use: Fahid Digital Ventures LLC. “Fahid Digital Ventures” afterwards is fine. It is not “FDV” in published copy.
Feature names, capitalised as shown: Recovery capsules · Flight Recorder · Lost Work · Safe Mode · Doctor · Operation Preview · Operation Journal · Semantic Composer. Lower case when generic: capsule, checkpoint, rollback, journal entry.
The one thing you may not write
Never write “GitAegis guarantees recovery”, or any paraphrase of it. The product makes a bounded claim, printed below in full, and we will ask for a correction if the boundary is removed.
The recovery claim, as it may be quoted
Quote it in full, or quote a clause with its qualifier attached. Please do not quote the first line on its own. It is the qualifier that makes the rest true.
What GitAegis can put back
- If a recovery capsule was taken, you can roll the operation back.
- If a Flight Recorder event captured a state hash, you can roll back to that state.
- If any reflog entry, ref, branch, stash, or capsule references a commit, Lost Work can recover it.
- Outside those, it cannot, and GitAegis says so instead of pretending otherwise.
Known limits, if your piece goes into detail
Rebase state is not restored from a capsule; configuration is captured as evidence and not restored; .gitattributes content filters cannot be wholesale disabled; bisect and a conflicted stash apply have no generic resume; external diff and merge tools are never run, in any mode.
Those are the limits of the shipping macOS build. If your piece turns on one of them, send us the paragraph: see the fact-check offer at the foot of this page.
Logo files
SVG is the primary format. The PNGs are the exports the desktop application ships, at their real pixel dimensions.
Full lockup: inherits text colour
Embedding inline where the surrounding text colour should carry through.

The mark: A Git branch glyph forming a shield: three slate nodes joined by rounded strokes, with the topmost node in GitAegis coral. Monoline, legible down to a 16px favicon.
There is no press-kit ZIP. Each file above is served from this site and downloads on click.
Do
- Permitted: Use the supplied files at any size, keeping the aspect ratio.
- Permitted: Pick the light or dark variant that gives you real contrast.
- Permitted: Leave clear space on all four sides equal to the height of the “G” in the lockup.
- Permitted: Reproduce the mark in solid black or solid white where colour is not available.
Do not
- Not permitted: Add a gradient, a drop shadow, a glow, an outline, or a bevel.
- Not permitted: Recolour it outside the brand palette below.
- Not permitted: Rotate, skew, stretch, squash, or animate it.
- Not permitted: Place it on a busy photograph or a low-contrast background.
- Not permitted: Set it inside a shape it was not designed for: no forcing the lockup into a circle.
- Not permitted: Rebuild the wordmark in a different typeface, or set “GitAegis” as text next to the mark.
- Not permitted: Use the mark as your own icon, in your own logo, or in a way that implies partnership, endorsement, or certification.
Brand colours
The palette is small on purpose. The risk colours map to real product states and must keep meaning what they mean. Destructive is only ever a genuinely destructive operation, never decoration.
Brand
- Brand orange
#EB825FThe brand. A fill: buttons, the mark's top node, indicator rules. - Brand ink
#353C4EThe chrome bar, and the lockup on a light background.
Canvas
- Dark canvas
#0D1117The primary theme, and the ground every product screenshot is shot on. - Light canvas
#FFFFFFThe light theme.
Risk, in the dark theme
- Safe
#3FB950A reversible operation. - Caution
#D8A032Reversible with conditions. - Destructive
#F0736BIrreversible without a capsule. Never decoration. - Recovered
#F0A184A restored or recovered state.
Brand orange is a fill, not a text colour
Brand orange measures 2.18:1 as text on white, so the product never sets a word in it at that value: it uses a darkened sibling (9F3E1E in the light theme, F0A184 in the dark) for orange text, and a third for 2px indicators. If you are reproducing the setting, use the fill for fills and pick your own accessible text colour rather than the fill.
Typefaces
Inter for headings and body, JetBrains Mono for code and every Git identifier. Licence them yourself if you reproduce the setting; the fonts are not redistributed here.
Screenshots
There is no screenshot pack, and the reason is the same reason the product has no demonstration mode.
Why there is nothing to download here
GitAegis refuses to render its interface without its desktop core. It has no fixture data and no demonstration mode, which means a marketing screenshot has to be a capture of the running application or a fabrication. There is no third option, and we are not taking the second one.
Captures against a real repository are outstanding. Until they exist, this page ships no image files rather than placeholder art, and every product visual elsewhere on this site renders nothing at all until the real capture lands.
You are welcome to take your own, of the running application, including of a comparison against another product. If you would like a build to shoot, press@gitaegis.com.
What you may and may not do with these assets
You may, without asking
- Permitted: Publish the logos in an article, review, newsletter, podcast, video, or conference talk about GitAegis or about Git clients generally.
- Permitted: Quote any approved description above, in full or trimmed from the longer version.
- Permitted: Take your own screenshots of the running application, including of a comparison against another product.
- Permitted: Reproduce the boilerplate at the foot of a piece.
- Permitted: Include GitAegis in a round-up, a comparison table, or a review, including a negative one. We would rather be reviewed accurately than favourably.
You may not
- Not permitted: Modify the logo in any of the ways listed under the logo rules.
- Not permitted: Use the mark, the name, or the palette in a way that implies GitAegis or Fahid Digital Ventures LLC endorses, sponsors, certifies, or partners with you, your product, or your event.
- Not permitted: Use the assets on merchandise for sale, or in advertising for another product.
- Not permitted: Use the name or mark in your own product name, company name, domain, app-store listing, social handle, or as a keyword in paid search advertising for a competing product.
- Not permitted: Present a modified screenshot as an unmodified one. Crop and scale freely; do not composite, restage, or edit the interface, and do not add fabricated data.
- Not permitted: Strip the qualifier from the recovery claim, or attribute a metric to us that we have not published.

Fact-check offer
If your piece makes a technical claim about how GitAegis works (what a capsule captures, what it can restore, what it refuses to run) send us the paragraph and we will confirm or correct it, on the record, without asking to see the rest of the article. We would rather appear in an accurate paragraph than a flattering one.
